Metal Halide Lights For Growing?
I purchased a metal halide light bulb for growing which i hear is the best for growing plants, what the hell do i screw the bulb into i cannot find bases for it anywhere, is there a certain name for it? or am i stuck with this bulb and nothing to do with it?
You are now going to need to buy a fixture for the metal halide bulb. Metal halides use very high amounts of energy and need a special ballast to power them. Your best bet for a small operation of growing plants would have been florescent fixtures with full spectrum lights in them. Metal halides work really well to grow plants, but also create lots of heat and can cook your plants.
