What kind of power converter for a 220v product?
My parents bought a pressure cooker when we went to china, it’s 220v, 900w.
Do we need to get a 220v to 110v converter or 110v to 220v converter?
Second, can we just get a 1000w converter or something larger like 3000w? We were told buy 1 salesmen the converter would overheat if we only got the 1000w, is that right?
Can we just plug the converter in the outlet or do we need to do something special?
in order to get the amps & volts right it would be better to run an outlet from the panel box the normal voltage for a home is 240 that will work for 220 its only 20v more you need a double pole single throw breaker to put in your panel box. run the two hot legs to the breaker the neutral to the neutral bar and the green to the ground bar. you could get a transformer but it’d be very expensive and very hot wiring it to the panel is the answer. I don’t know where you can buy a 110 to 220 I know they make them but its a lot of trouble, if you are worried about 240 being too much you can get a buck transformer to step it down .you only need a 20 amp breaker for that.
