I need to convert string lights that are 220v euro plug to 110v american. Whats the best way to do it?

I misread them and thought it was an american 110v. I have to be able to use them and they will not all be near each other. So I can’t have one box that all the lights plug in to.
Whats the best way to go about this? I cant imagine these use all of 220v or even 110v. Would just using an adapter work for me, that just changes the plug type? Or would I need an adapter that changes the voltage as well?
To use these lights on 120 volt you will need a step-up transformer or modifications to the power supply will have to be made.
Travel adapters are made to convert the 120 volt power in the US to the required 220 volt. These adapters will cost more than you spent on the light strings.
If you or a friend is handy with electronics you might make modifications to the power supply for the lights. Otherwise you would be ahead to try to return the lights and buy lights rated for 120 volt.
If it makes you feel any better about returning the lights, I read some of the reviews and the lights seem to be pretty flimsy.
To address your statement “I cant imagine these use all of 220v or even 110v” You are correct. The actual voltage to each LED is probably 1.5 volt DC or very close to that. While it isn’t difficult to produce the correct voltage it will still cost more than replacing the lights.
