im so tired of my filter being bogged up from algae and having algae all over the glass and rocks.?
i clean my aquarium regularly ,water changes weekly filter change every three weeks (more then what they even say to change them) but i still have issues with algae growing on everything and its getting worse and worse. i do not have to much light either, the tank gets about 8 hours of light per day, the light is on a timer. it is a fixture with two t5 light bulbs. seems worse since i got them but it was a problem even with the standard tube lights i had originally.
WHAT CAN I DO TO REDUCE ALGAE!
I had the same exact problem
i got myself a T5 light and suddenly brown algae started growing like crazy
What i did, was getting plants and a
Bristlenose pleco (but only if you have at least a 30 gallon tank)
Since you have the T5, it’s to strong just for regular lighting, but perfect for plants
Try anubis, onion plant and amazon sword
they helped to cut back my algae in just one week, now i hardly have any
