I just got an 8600gt but I only have a 300 watt power supply; problems?
I ordered an 8600gt, but only have a 300 watt power supply. I know it’s pushing it a little, but will this cause system instability, or will I be ok, because it needs a 350 watt power supply according to the specs.
Get a 450 just to be safe, they’re really cheap these days. You don’t want your PS exploding. I think you might be fine, but for $50, better safe than sorry.
