Is it okay to use a 60 watt bulb for a lamp with a 40 watt maximum? what are the chances of a fire? HELP PLEAS?
My mom bought 60 watt lightbulb after I told her the Max was 40 watts. She said: “oh it’ll be fine!” But I dont trust it I turned it on and its bright but it works im just afraid that it’ll catch fire in the socket or some thing cuz it says to reduce chances of fire use a 40 watt A bulb. but I’m not very sure HELP! PLEASE!
It will not catch fire, but eventually the lamp will be destroyed by the extra heat.
Ask your mom to buy you a 40 watt bulb.
