Will A apartment building management notice light bulbs being used 12 hours a day?
I have 4 cfl light bulbs running 12 hours on 12 hours off in my apartment. They are cfl bulbs 23 watts = 100 watts they are powered by a light bulb to normal plug outlet adapter, will the building notice that much hydro being used? I have all inclusive in my apartment. Thanks.
No but watch out for other tennents if you intent to use the light to grow things.
From an electrical point of view, you are consuming 100 watts 50% of the time and are using 12 hundred watts per day or 1.2KW hours per day. For a month the total is 1.2KW * 30 = 36KW hours or 36KWh per month.
A typical 50″+ LCD TV draws about 400~600W, so it is 4x ~ 6x more hungry.
The bigger question is what else are you running to increase your usage. You may want to reduce your TV usage to offset the lighting.
Fianlly what ever you are consistantly using they may accept, but large spikes will draw attention to you.
Keep in mind that the police use InfraRed (IR) camera technology to locate heat profiles of homes late at night or in the early morning to detect pot growers and you might become suspect, regardless of your intentions. FYI
