Is a 15w CFL enough to grow broccoli?
My broccoli sprouts are getting really long and skinny and falling over towards the window, apparently in a desperate attempt to get sunlight. My lettuce seems to be doing OK. I am just wondering if a 15w compact fluorescent bulb will put out enough light to keep them healthy. I put the bulb in a lamp and leaned it right over the broccoli. The weather has been crap all week and apparently will continue this way for the rest of the week so there is no chance of getting any real sunlight for them this week. It is also too cold to put them outside.
Apparently you started them way too early. I’d replant and forget about those or buy plants when the time is right.
