Could sun light can be replace by lamp for water plants?
I know that they need sun light to thrive but since my room is dark, can they grow happily with LED light? What kind of light best suited for planted aquarium?
Answer is ‘yes’, plants will thrive with the use of artificial light but the plant growth all depends on the tank size and number of bulbs or the bulb performance.
Usually 2 watts per gallon of a high output T5 with a Kelvin rating of 6500 or more would be sufficient enough to grow most of the tropical plants.
It is highly debated whether the Kelvin rating has any impact on the plants but from personal experience my plants do much better when higher.

I would suggest that you check the wattage and the Kelvin ratings of your LED, availability to install additional lights and then choose the plants accordingly to the level of light you can provide.
Also plants don’t thrive on light alone and you’ll have to provide fertilizers and co2 depending on the species so hope you research these requirements before judging on light alone.
