Can I make a fish tank lamp?
Can I make a fish tank day time lamp with led lights? I have a ten gallon with one fresh water bala.
Technically yes you can, but you need a LOT of high power LEDs and it will be much more expensive than using flourescent lamps.
If you want a cheap and simple light setup for a small tank use a couple of Compact Flourescent lampa in normal light fittings. If you get the lamps with the ‘daylight’ colour spectrum they are suitable for lower light plants.
And a single Bala in a 10gal tank is not a good option. They dont do well on their own and can grow to a foot long.
