Whirlpool dryer not heating?
We have a Whirlpool dryer that was not heating. I looked it up online and we tested the wall and we are getting 240 voltage. We tested the element and it was fine. Then we tested and replaced the thermal safety cutoff.
It’s barely been a week and now it is not working again. Anyone have an idea on what would keep burning out the thermal safety cutoff?
I shall try to answer all questions as I see them come up. Dryer is 5-6 yrs old as is house. Lint trap is clean as is the duct going outside. Thermal safety has blown twice within a week which makes me *think* replacing the thermal safety again isn’t it.
Your thermostat is not working properly and is triggering the thermal safety switch because it is getting too hot. Thermostat is different than the safety switch.
