would a 70W HPS Floodlight work with a 35W HPS lamp (strictly UK floodlights)?
I’ve got a 70w floodlight above my garage door, and have got a spare 35w hps bulb. i was wondering if the 35w bulb would work in it, and if not what would i have to do to the floodlight to get it to work with the 35w hps bulb?
It won’t work. High intensity discharge lamps are like fluorescent lamps in that they only work on a ballast which is designed for just one wattage of lamp. You would have to remove and replace the ballasts which would cost more than just buying a new lamp. You have to stick to the 70 watt bulb.
