light fixture won’t light?
I have high hat light fixtures that take standard flood or spot lights. One fixture suddenly stopped working and when I put in a new bulb, it won’t light. (yes, I checked it with a fixture that does work). The ceiling fixtures are mounted flush in the ceiling and they have a little “springy” movement when I screw they in or unscrew them. Is it possible that the little brass metal piece doesn’t make contact with the bulb? Is it advisable to give it a little pull to make sure it has contact? Any other ideas what it could be?
TURN OFF THE POWER. The little brass “springy” thing as you called it is more than likely your culprit. Just get small screwdriver and gently pry up a little bit….If that does not work make sure you are getting 120 volts to fixture.
