what is the difference between a t5 and a t8 flourescent bulb?
i want to grow some tomatos in a shelf system useing flourescent lighting i was told t5 was good tou use but all i can find is t8 is there a big difference in the spectrum or intensity?
The difference between the two is T5′s put off more lumens per watt, which meens you can run more lights to add up to the same wattage as less T8′s. You use less electricity and get more light, plus the T5 gases put off better light spectrum. For your “Tomatoes” they will love I know mine do.
