Are my plants getting too much light?
On my 10g planted tank I have 2-60w 6500k Tungsten grow bulbs. That’s 12w/gallon. Is this too much light? My plants are indeed growing fast but i’m wondering if this’ll have an effect over the long term.
That is fine aslong as the lights do not heat the water from being too close for too long, also it is not a good idea to have the lights on for more than 4-6 hours a day as too much light will promote growth of algae and you will be continuosly cleaning your glass,rocks(if you have them) and filters.
