Appropriate Metal Halide Fixture For My Tank?
I have a tank which is 4 feet long and a little over 20 inches tall which I plan to keep corals in.
What would be an appropriate metal halide fixture and bulb strength for my fish tank? I can’t hang the fixture from the ceiling (rented house) so are there any other options?

Hi, the strength of the bulb will really depend on what type of corals you would like to keep. If you intend on lower light to medium light soft and stony corals you can get away with 2 x 125 watt Halides. If you want to keep clams and higher light SPS 2 x 250 would be your best bet.
You can always buy a prefabricated canopy that fits over your tank and install your halides in there or you can purchase a manufactured unit that can be placed above the tank.
