What could be behind my outrageous salt craving?
I eat salt like it’s candy. I cannot seem to get enough of it…I mean I dump it on my food, sometimes as much as a tablespoon per meal. It seems like enough to make someone hurl, but not me. The amounts of sodium I take in everyday seem deadly. However, the things that high sodium intake seem to take a toll with on average people do the opposite with me. For example, my blood pressure is pretty low (80/45 usually), my weight is healthy (100lbs. at 5’4″), as well as my heart rate (in the 50′s). But this salt craving…can it be dangerous?
