I have a table lamp that pumps water from a reservoir up through some tubes and out in a waterfall effect.?
However there seems to be a blockage in the tubes, since the water is coming out very slowly, and the water pressure appears weak, I think it could be caused by a blockage in the tubing, can I add bleach to the water to clean out the tubes, or will this do more damage?
If not is there any cleaning solution i can get that will clean out the tubes?
I have tried a google search however this has proven to be friutless.
Two possibilities, a buildup of hard water deposits or bacterial and fungal slime. Calcium deposits can be removed with CLR Lime-away or vinegar. To remove slimy grunge, use bleach. Another possible cause is hair or lint caught in the impeller of the pump. Most of these little pumps can be pried apart for cleaning. RScott
