Will my unlocked Quad-Band GSM phone work in China?
I am traveling to China, and I am going to need a cellphone. I have an unlocked Quad Band (Nokia E71). I assume it will work in China, but I just want to make sure from someone who has first hand experience that it will. If so, should I get a sim card here, or in China? Any advice on where to get a sim card would be appreciated. Thanks.
It` s ok to use an unlocked Quad-Band GSM phone in China, you can choose China Mobile or China Unicom, i prefer China Mobile personally.
And even if your phone not work , you can go to some local cellphone market, they have people to unlock them and usually charge around 50 RMB, but it really depends on what kind of cellphone it is, and other factors.
