Using a lower watt bulb in higher watt ballast HID?
I have a 1000 watt HPS setup, but I need to use lower watts in my situation. Could I just use a 400w or 600w HPS bulb instead of the 1000w? Thank you
you can use lower watt bulbs… the purpose of the ballest is to fire the gas that is inside the bulb.. the ballast is a high voltage device. that makes the gas conductive they call this ionaziation… but check this at the manufacturer of the device. you will find the name inside.. write to them to be shure.. ok gilermo.
