can i leave a 60 watt fluorescent lamp on in a Styrofoam cooler overnight and not have it combust?
So I have this regular-sized cooler made out of styrofoam, and I have a 60 watt light on inside of it. I also put the lid on the cooler. If I leave it on overnight, will that be a fire hazard, or will the lamp not get hot enough to catch on fire?
are you making a incubator for eggs ? you would be better of to use a thermostat and fan (12 v computer power supply fan) for circulation you will have to make some holes up the top for the heat to escape. sealing it with a light bulb inside is dangerous and would over heat. the thermostat is either fixed temp or adjustable your choice.
