Why didnt Bernard Maddoff flee to Israel when the heat was on?
Surely if i was ever to plan on commiting the worlds biggest bank robbery the first step would be to escape outta of the country and hide the money.
So why didnt Uncle Berny flee when the heat was on?
Surely he could have used his Je-wish ancestry and flee to Israel with all that mulla and say to Israel i’ll give you half the money if you let me live here and hide me from the US and use your “special diplomatic” relations with the US?
Why didnt he quickly run to his private jet and fill it up with billions of dollars, bonds, gold bullions, Blond Russian girls, French champagne and make a run for it?
After all isnt that is what Robert Maxwell the British media mogul did when the UK police were after him in 1991?
They say that Maxwell killed himself but the allegations are that Israel hid him.
So why didnt Uncle Berny do that? and perhaps live of the rest of his days on some Arabs ranch in sunny Isreal??
Fleeing to Israel doesn’t mean he goes free.
Samuel Sheinbein fled to Israel after he killed a guy in the US and while the Israeli Supreme Court forbid his extradition back to the US, he was still put in jail.
