Water bottles: Nalgene vs SIGG?
I’m looking for a water bottle to bring with me in the car and to long office meetings, so it needs to be compact and light. Right now I’m buying little bottles of water at the supermarket which is convenient when running out the door in the morning but, its expensive, bad for the environment, and can leech chemicals from the plastic.
Target has SIGG and Nalgene. I was going to get SIGG but I couldn’t swallow the $22 price tag. Even though its made of metal there is a plastic liner inside and someone said it deteriorates after a few years. If this is true how can it be good for you, the environment, and your wallet? I’m thinking of getting Nalgene if that type of plastic is truly safe.
Instead of choosing aluminum or plastic bottle, why not consider a stainless steel one? There are some pretty inexpensive stainless steel bottles, like Innate and New Wave Environ. They are BPA-free and light. Check out the link below for popular choices of stainless steel bottles.
