can i use a 120 watt plant grow bulb, in a reading light section of a floor lamp that suggest 60 watts?
I am interested in getting floor lamp nwith reading light feature basically 2 lights on a single lamp. the upright one for room illumination and the side reading lamp feature to focus a plant grow light on my house plants but the website says to use a 60 watt max for the reading light section….. can i use my 120 watt plant grow light in the readign light socket/place??? or will be be a hazard/ problem

It is not recommended to do that. you should not exceed the wattage that is suggested or a problem could occur. Not that HD sells junk, but the products are of not the best quality to start with. The interior wiring will probably only take the heat load that a 60Watt would produce. Get a full spectrum fluorescent and use that instead. A 26Watt would be the same as a 150W and be better quality light than the standard grow bulb without all the extra heat.
