How would I wire this lamp so that it works indoors?
Hello,
I recently found this metal halide light on craigslist:

I would like to install it in my garage and just plug it into the wall socket. I’m pretty sure that we’re not wired for 277V so I would have to rewire it. I’d have to open up the ballast and do it myself, however, I’m not too sure how to do that. Plus, I don’t even know if it is designated 277V.
Could anyone help me? Are there maybe easier/other ways of doing this?
I can post some close up pics of the lamp tonight, once I get home.

That is an old Gym or Warehouse light. It is designed for 20′ ceilings,uses 400 watt bulbs,gets hot,and people have been injured buy super hot debris and harmful rays from the inners of the bulbs. Not recommended for your project.
