metal halide 70w downlight with control gear?
hi i have a 240v 70w metal halide downlight with the control gear but can you use a 150w metal halide with the control gear as on the inside of the control gear it says on the side of the ignitor it can run globes from 70w up to 150w is this correct?
If that is what it says then that is what it will do.
Be careful as it is the heat that the light puts out that will shorten its life dramatically.
The bigger the watts the more the heat, the more often you replace them.
