What last longer: regular alkaline batteries or rechargeable Ni-MH batteries?

depnds on how much power is being used, but i would say for a flashlight, the regular alkaline would last longer, because they dont lose their charge as much, when not being used. but if u use ni-cd or ni-mh they lose charge not being used. but if u use the light alot, use ni-mh. because it will give more usage out of them.
