Will these work together? Im trying to make a lighting system for an aquarium used car HID lights?
i am wondering if it would be possible to make my own lighting set up for an aquarium using the metal halide HID bulbs used from car headlights and a computer power supply along with some wiring to power them ?
And what color temperature would work best.
If this would work it would be for a reef tank.

to power it. I could make my own hood and add a computer cooling fan to it and i think it could work.
That is equivalent to using a cannon to kill a mosquito: it is far more light than you need — and the fixtures are expen$ive (over $100). A standard fluorescent tank light will do you fine.
