my gas bill is unusually high!?
OK. I moved house recently.
Before i moved, i had a gas boiler that heated water when switched on the tap. we also had as central heating. we kept this on constantly, on low. our average bill was about 50 a month
now i have moved, and i have jjust has first gas bill for three months and it is a huge £500!
i have gas central heating, and a gas hb. we use the hob maybe 30 minutes a day, and we have the heating on for about 3 – 6 hours a day. we dont leave ti on constant like the old flat as gas prices have risen
in 3 months, i have some how used 500 units, or nearly 15,000 kilo watt hours of gas!!
how on earth can this be? could it be my gas central heating being super un efficient? what can i do to monitor or check it?
get in touch with your gas company and find out what the reading was when the people before you moved out. They should have give an up to date reading just before they moved or else you could be paying what they used too.
