Questions regarding Aerogarden/Indoor hydroponic system for tomatoes?
I am considering buying the aerogarden, and I want to grow full size tomato plants in it if I can. I have been reseraching it and I know the standard version is only small, but have read there is a deluxe upgrade kit that extends the hood to about 2 foot. Does anyone know where you can get these upgrade kits (UK only please) as I have been searching ebay/googling and not found anywhere yet, they didn’t seem to mention the kit on the manufacturers site either).
Also is there another sort of all in one alternative to the Aerogarden, a similar “all in” sort of setup? I know you buy the grow tents/lights/ballast etc all separately, but am looking for an easy and reasonably priced all in one kit.
Not seen the deluxe version for sale in the UK but i know there are a few about as i and have seen U.K growers talking about them, however they are using transformers to regulate the voltage so there probably imports. Give AG a bell and see if there in the UK or ask at the AG growers forum there’s UK growers there so they are your best bet. Don’t know of a all in one like the AG but if you want better results then get a small nft gt424 and a couple of 125w CFL lights (no need for ballasts). Ive heard that the AG has a few issues so it put me off otherwise i would of got one.
