How loose should your hockey skates be?
I tied my lace really tight and I left the last holes empty unfilled my the laces. There is mobility in my ankles is this good or bad?
btw Does any one care if I play hockey with mismatched hockey laces?
I have one that is yellow wax laces and the other is the standard white.
I have vapor x 40 skates.
i like mine kinda tight too thats just preference. although the first anwser is wrong you need mobility so you can bend your ankles. can you imagine skating with them so tight you can’t bend them, you’d be standing up the whole time, and you need to bend you ankles to get low to skate, take hits, give hits, etc. BUT if your ankle is twisting like side to side it has nothing to do with how you tied your skates, they just don’t fit right. They could be too big.
for the laces if your feet feel alright then keep it the way it is, if it’s not bothering you. But wouldn’t the waxed laces skate be so much tighter than the other one since thats waxed laces are made to do. if it doesn’t bother leave it, because whatever works.
