Where can I find a really low watt light bulb?
I have a lamp by my bed that is currently using a 30 watt bulb which is the lowest wattage I could find. It is your basic light bulb (I believe an A19 from searching the internet). The problem is even at 30 watts, the bulb is very bright and bothers my wife when I read at night. Does anyone know of where I can find an even lower watt bulb or have any advice (other than changing the lamp shade or other non-bulb related ideas) on what to do to lower the light level?
You could buy at any Home Depot-type store a cord with a dimmer switch on it… plug any lamp into it and use the slider to dim the light from full bright to nearly-off. Less than $20.

You could also consider using a ‘Book Light’ (such as the ones found here: http://www.mightybright.com/Book-Lights?gclid=CPuL0u3In6YCFY5N2god1jhopg) but I’ve never liked reading with them… the page is too bright against a dark bedroom and I develop eyestrain because of the high contrast.
