requirements for high bay lighting?
I need a good website for calculating how many high bay I need for a barn that is 100 X 120 ft and I am goiing to hang the lights at 20 ft. there are beams every 20 ft. I was going for 15 lights, which is a light every 20 ft. but I was curious to see if I could do it with 9 lights instead, and also to make sure that 15, 400 watt metal hylide high bays will be enough to light an area that will be used for horse riding lessons.
It all depends on how bright you want the room in footcandles (illuminance). You can always start with 9 lights and provide spots for an extra 6 and add the extra 6 later if you still need light.
