Is a basic Grow Light going to be ok for my tomato plant?
I am growing inside of an earthbox Husky Cherry Red tomatos….. because I want to keep them growing, at least thriving until spring when I can put them outside again I got a 24” Grow Light from Wal_mart. That is what it’s called “Grow Light” and it seemed to be on sale….. So it was the only one I could find there, I decided to get it and put it on my wall and let my tomato plants soak up the light. I actually have a few other tomatos near by it too. Brandeva, another Husky Cherry rerooting from a breakage, and Red Pear. There are Cherry Peppers also in the Earthbox. On one side I have added a GE Growth Light as well. This grow light is a bit smaller with a circular shaped base.
What do you think, will these plants like the lights or should I move them closer to natural light?
Basically Tomato need a closely monitored supply of nutrition, sunlight and water to grow. Plus if you plant you tomatoes with adequate spacing then also it will grow well. as per my observation fluorescent light will help you.
