can a fluorescent grow light be left on 24-7 for gardenias?
I live in upstate NY and love gardenias planting them outside im pretty sure is not an option for a tropical plant. I have tried several times just putting them in the window where they get the most sun but had no luck.
Certainly the light CAN be left on 24/7. But it is not the best idea for the plants. There is both a light and a dark phase to photosynthesis. Leaving the light on 24/7 deprives the plants of the necessary dark cycle.
