Is it safe to put a 100 watt bulb in a lamp that had a 40 watt?
I need to replace the bulb in my lamp, and it had a 40 Watt incandescent bulb. The only bulbs I have are 26 watt florescent, which equals 100 Watt. Is it safe to use this bulb? What are the side effects? Will my lamp explode!?
