LED installation… ELECTRONIC MANIACS PLE..?
I want to setup 30Xwhite LED’S
to light my PLANTED AQUARIUM.
I JUST DONT KNOW HOW TO POWER IT..??
SUPPOSE 30 LEDS 1.5 VOLTS EACH = (30X1.5) = 45 VOLTS..
SO WHICH DC ADAPTER DO I USE TO POWER.. PLE SPECIFY THE VOLTAGE AND AMPERE RATING…..
you can use a 12v power supply with a rated output of at least 100 mA. (this is assuming 1.5v forward voltage and 20 mA forward current on your LEDs) You will also need five 150 ohm 1/4 watt resistors. Wiring will be to put six LEDs in series with one resistor, then array the resulting five series in parallel with each other.
