i am starting a reef tank. ?
but here is the problem. i don’t have the money to spend on the lights, but i can get my hands on a 250 watt high pressure sodium light for indoor growing would that be good for my reef or would it be the wrong kind of light? what do you suggest i do or does any one know where to buy lights for exetemely cheap all i need is a 24 or 30″ lght for my 46 gallon flat back hex tank. what would you do? and does anyone know where to buy cheap coral frags?
look into T-5 lighting fixtures, the best price your going to find on them is at aquascapesofla.com t-5 is comparable to 2x’s the wattage of metal halides and t-12 VHO

also go to reefcentral.com and read all you can somewhere towards the bottom they have a list of all the local reef clubs, look for the one closest to you and keep an eye out for locals getting out of the hobby and doing frag swaps,
