bearded dragon heating help???
currently in my 4ft viv, i have a 3-4month old beardie which the pet store gave me no choice but to buy her b4 my viv was ready,
at the moment the only thing im having probs with after 4 days is the heating.
I have a uv light going for 12 hours day, and a sun glo 100w daylight bulb going for 13 hours. When i get the basking temp perfect inbetween 105-110f, the thermometer on the hot side says the temp is about 92f, when i get this to the right temp, the basking spot increases to 120f. also i have to constantly watch the temp as it always going up and dwn through out the day (the heat bulb is on a thermostat).
How do i get both sides to stay at the right temps? would it help increasing the wattage of the bulb by buying 150w instead of a 100w? plz help ty
no you can leave the 100 watt in. Remember a bearded dragons tank can go down to 65 f. It is okay that the other side drops below that 92. Actually if she wants to cool off the 92 still might be a little warm for her. just make sure that your basking side stays within the range of temperatures recommended.
