looking for a cheap grow lamp for a school project?
I have this school project where I have to test the different rates of growth for several plants. Problem is that it is dead of winter in NJ. I found high pressure sodium lights but those are WAY too expensive. Any suggestions about what type of bulb i could use?
Just get a broad spectrum flourescent grow light (tube light). It can be plugged into any flourescent tube housing. If you don’t already have the housing/hardware for it, the cheapest thing would be buying several “clamp lamps” at the hardware with regulary screw-in bulb fixtures. They cost a couple dollars a piece. Then get gro-lights in regular light-bulb shape, and pop those in.
