I just finished building my first PC and I have a huge problem! My CPU will not start. ?
The LED light on my MOBO is turned on, indicating that the CPU is having issues. I took off, re-seated and yet the same problem remains. I’m resetting the CMOS right now but I’m not sure if this will work. I need help asap…I’m very frustrated after all this hard work 
.
This is my PC Info:
CPU : intel core i7 2600k
MOBO: asus P8P67 Deluxe
Cooling System CPU: corsair H70 hydro
RAM: corsair dominator gt 2000 MHz 8gb
Make sure everything is connected correctly and you have installed the cpu correctly. You have an aftermarket CPU cooler so hopefully you installed it properly with thermal paste.
Also make sure you have enough Watts to power your system. You didn’t list what kind of GPU or PSU you have so I can’t say whether or not it is sufficient.
@Morgan if it is a P67 mobo that fits an i7 2600k in it, then it is compatible with 64-bit you can be sure of that (64-bit is a description of the OS like Windows 7 64-bit, not the motherboard). Also there is no such thing as “i9″ that is an inaccurate term people have falsely given i7 900 series CPUs.
