How can I grow plants in aquarium?
I just recently got this 55 gallon tank. And with it came this huge hood. It had 4 long lights on it. When the guy I bought it from showed me they worked, the lights where purple or bluish in color?
What are these used for? I searched them up, and found something named reef lights, witch are blueish purple aquariam lights. Are these the ones I have? If yes, will they over heat the water? Or burn or hurt my fish?? I dont have a saltwater tank, A freshwater one is what I have. Anyways, I was also wondering, are these the lights used to grow Real marine plants?? Because I bought these marine plant bulbs once, and put them in my 20 gallon, witch had an ordinary white light, and they never grew, so I guess I needed some special light. Will this blue light help the plants grow? Or how can I grow aquarium plants, live ones, not plastice, plastic ones got boring. Thanks for any help!
And what are the blue or purple lights for??
I’m pretty sure those lights are for live rock. No they will not burn your fish and no i don’t think they would give your plants the nutrients they need. If you have live plants in your tank, you cannot have an air pump.
