Can plants be grown in an empty warehouse?
When I bought my house there was a small run down warehouse that came with it. I use it as a big garage/storage but I was wondering if plants would be able to survive in it. It gets as much light as a room with two windows (not facing sun). It has industrial lighting (metal halides I think maybe HPS have not had to change them yet more orange than blue) but they are rather high up (10′).
I have some extra space and would like to try a little greenhouse project for some rarer things that don’t grow well in this hemisphere anyways (legal things mind you)
You would need to get some sunlamps, it doesn’t sounds like enough light otherwise. There are some decent cheap growlights out there that would work.
