Any suggestion for outdoor lighting fixture? (wallpack)?
I am putting up outdoor fixtures around my house, for security and just for looks. the ideal light that i like is metal halide wall pack 150 watts. any body have a suggestion for a more efficient fixture….. meaning cheaper to run but give the same light?
For outdoor lighting you will not find better efficiency or the ability to literally forget about maintenance of switching bulbs if you spend a little extra money on LED outdoor lights. They come clustered up in bulb form ready to screw into any outdoor lighting fixture,burn more efficiently yet just as bright if not brighter and the shelf life on continuous use for them is upwards of 11 years for one cluster.
Eventually as the technology improves and the prices fall for LED outdoor lights all other lighting types will be made obsolete. The savings will kick in as compared to the added cost of the LED outdoor lights very quickly from the savings on your energy bill. They work especially well in hard to maintain locations due to lasting so long.
