Can I use a 400 watt HPS bulb in a run-of-the-mill grow light fixture?

If you have an MH system now you will have to change the ballast to use a HPS grow light. HSP bulbs are very low in the blue spectrum and if you don’t have axillary lighting to supply that spectrum your plants will grow very leggy.
